This is America's problem in a nutshell:

There is a statue of Billy Graham in Wheaton, IL, where he went to school. There is no statue of John Belushi in Wheaton, IL, where John Belushi (and Jim Belishi) grew up.

Watching the Belushi documentary tonight. Most of the stuff I already knew, but with Steve Cropper's death last week, it made me appreciate his band a lot more. How he was able to stack his band with Steve Cropper and Donald "Duck" Dunn along with Paul Schaeffer is amazing. I guess it helped that Stax Records was forced out of business a few years earlier.

It was interesting when Harold Ramis said when he saw John perform in 1978 in front of 7,000 people in LA in the Blues Brothers, he knew he was going to die soon.
