Drones severely affected Russian air traffic during the night.

11.12.2025, 10.39 a.m.

A Ukrainian drone attack massively disrupted Russian air traffic during the night and forced numerous airports, including all four Moscow airports, to a temporary standstill. According to the Russian aviation authority Rosaviyatsiya, more than 130 flights had to be diverted, delayed or cancelled in Moscow alone. In total, the capital's airports were out of service for more than seven hours.

The Ministry of Defense in Moscow reported the shooting down of almost 300 Ukrainian drones during the night. More than a third of them were taken from the sky in the western Russian region of Bryansk on the border with Ukraine, the military said. This was one of the largest Ukrainian drone attacks since the beginning of the Russian war of aggression in February 2022.
