Dec. 11, 2025 7:34 AM ET By: Anuron Mitra, SA News Editor Oracle ( ORCL) stock slid in Thursday premarket trading, as investors were disappointed by the cloud software giant's current quarter guidance and increased spending forecast for 2026.
The company now expects fiscal 2026 capital expenditure to be about $15B higher than its previous outlook. Much of Oracle's ( ORCL) capex is spent on data centers. Shares of the company were -12.5% ahead of the opening bell.
In light of Oracle's ( ORCL) underwhelming results, Seeking Alpha compiled a list of top systems software stocks and ranked them according to their Quant ratings.
Telos ( TLS) and Appian ( APPN) top the list with Strong Buy ratings of 4.81 and 4.54, respectively. UiPath ( PATH) follows with a Buy rating of 4.13. Major industry players like Microsoft ( MSFT) and ServiceNow ( NOW) also appear on the list with Hold ratings, demonstrating the comprehensive range of companies represented in the systems software sector. Oracle ( ORCL) is ranked sixth on the list.
Seeking Alpha’s Quant Rating system grades stocks based on their relative performance on various critical quantitative measures, including valuation, growth, stock momentum, and profitability.
