Between good market breadth and the Dow taking the lead on making a new all-time high, I think the only short-term bearish case is the one I’ve preferred, where we make a wave b-of-4 high fairly soon and decline into early January to complete wave 4. (Bear market wouldn’t start until February/March)
The alternative is that the late November low actually was the wave 4 bottom (like others have proposed), which would put us close to the middle of wave 5 now. (Bear market would start in January.)
We should be able to tell by the price action, sentiment, and other indicators over the next week or so which scenario is the most likely.
