The world stage as I see it:
The thing I like about Mark Carney, Canada's PM, is that right now is the biggest economic and military realignment in 80 years, and so the western democracies need a new organization to combat China, BRICS, and the US.
And Carney is the perfect person to organize the western world to defend itself against China, Russia, and the BRICS nations, and Trump.
Carney has PHD from Oxford, and saved both England and Canada during the covid era as Director/Governor of both central banks, so he has both the academic credentials to understand this NEW economic dynamic, but also both the knowledge of the economic reality, and temperament to implement it!
Carney is affable, and trustworthy, while Trump is the "Enfant Terrible", and a total liar and cheater. And the world's nations have shown they do trust Carney.
That is what Carney has been doing, globe trotting the world to, organize a coaltion to confront Trump first, ironically, and China next, for the good of Canada and the good of the world!
There are three primary power bases, #1 are China, Russia and the BRICS nations.
#2, Trump has isolated us as a pariah state, and he US is ALONE, isolated, except for a few dictatorships like Saudi Arabia Russia/, and is as Trump wants it!
Trump wants to isolate us! That is what he is doing.
#3, are the EU, NATO, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan, and the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand and are working together to strengthen themselves and forming organizations to both economically and militarily-----defend themselves against China and the US!!
And this is where Carney comes in. He not only has the key to all of their success i,e,Canada's natural resources, oil, gas, nickel, potash, copper, rare earths, lumber, etc, that they need, but also a stable fair playing field the world is looking for, and Carney is selling "shared (democratic ) values", and trust.
Carney is organizing a new world order of western nations because the world knows he can, and it will look like the small Nordic group of countries with regard to their humanity, intelligence, norms and mores!!
He knows what to do probably better than anyone actually-lol. And Canadians, to their credit, seems to know it, with 59% approval rating, including 91% of the liberal party.
And Carney is a master at forming alliances, because he is a truly an affable guy-lol!!!
So he has become the true leader of the free world today, and it is a good thing, because he knows what he is doing.
Think of Carney's new organization as the united states of: the EU, NATO, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
