So, are you claiming Trump never made a complex deal before and didn't know what he was talking about when he promised to end the war on day 1?
No, I'm claiming Trump did what he always does: Raises expectations beyond imagination. Then makes it happen.

Remember when you all had a cow over Trump speaking about what he envisioned for Gaza? Now, it is the actual expectation. You will always whine that it didn't live up to your expectations, of course. Because that's what you do. But it will be a lot closer to Trump's vision than it will to yours (which included poor people going hungry and struggling for medical care, poor as church mice).

I had a client who was a real estate developer, who had that mindset. He told me one time, "I want you to go look this house. It is perfect for you. Over on Buckner just south of Ferguson Road" (you know where that is). You can buy it for 70. "It needs a little work, but you know my guys can fix it up for you in a month and it won't cost shit, it just looks a lot worst than it is. You can sell if 150. Buy this.

My wife & I went and checked it out and it looked like a tornado had come through the middle of it and dumped the contents in the [ample] swimming pool. It was insane. I said, "Man, there is no way I'm buying that." A couple months later the guy who eventually bought it (also a client) flipped it for 180. That was the day I learned I should have been a realtor.

There are people who have vision and understand that making things happen is just a matter of will and hiring the right people. My friend and client died at 50 some years ago, but I never dissed people who were "just salesmen" since.
