Not from a safety point of view. But it was under the auspices of the ISM en.wikipedia.org , not just as a free lance lunatic. That area has attracted any number of foreigners over the years, on both sides, and for all motivations.

You don't get an extended warranty on a refrigerator on such vague terms. And at least half the arms in Gaza are in the hands of ill-defined groups, many of which are at least sometimes in the pay of Likud and coalition. The stable genius doesn't have a clue. Real estate deals in Manhattan don't usually involve religious rivalries and centuries of titleless claims to land.
