| | | He was the worst of the worst, and helped set this country on the path to the pathetic state we are in. Glad he entertained you with his schtick. Limbaugh consistently told it like it was. That he did so with biting humor, that just added to it. While I didn't often hear his show in the later part of it, there were some years when I we listened daily in my office, and pretty much everyone working for me got it, and no one ever complained, so it was good.
He was the best entertainment on the radio during that era, for sure. And when AM was dying he was the guy who stood up and said, I will stay with AM from now on, and kept it alive, which for me was a show of commitment to his audience.
The era of conservative talk radio was great, with other greats like Barry Farber, at night, Don Bohannon, and I thought Imus was great during morning drive-time. Bruce Williams did one of the smartest, most cogent shows on AM radio for some years.
Conservatives couldn't find an outlet back then, and Limbaugh provided one. He was smart, funny, intelligent, knowledgeable and extremely quick/sharp.
Haters gotta hate, and you guys will be bitter about Limbaugh til the day you die. |
