AI and lidar chips used by Rivian in the R2 will be in-house products. share.google InGaAs are needed for 1550nm which seems to be most important for L4 during fog, rain and snow. I believe TSMC doesn't currently produce such products but are doing R&D into this capability. Ouster also needs to go here for L4.
