Thomas Friedman said: "When elephants fly, don't laugh, take note." He is talking about how Trump is fixated on destroying modern western civilization/democracy, much like Russia and China.
What some don't seem to understand, is the danger we face, from China and Trump.
China and Russia are aligned more closely than ever, and Trump is paying little attention. He is focused in breaking down Europe and modern democratic civilization.
The two big engines of western civilization are Europe and Japan, and to a lesser degree South Korea. All three are hurting economically because of expensive and unreliable energy, oil and gas, and minerals.
And the west must keep these three economies strong to oppose China, Russia and BRICS.
Canada can do that, by building oil and gas pipelines to the west to help Japan and South Korea and the East to help Europe.
Some of my people-lol, seem to have this parochial obsession with pipelines, and don't seem to realize what is at stake. We are not going to address global warming and other dangers like AI, if Europe, and western democracies fail.
We must remain strong to confront the myriad dangers from China, Russia and Trump, and this means helping them, and Canada financially, because it costs money to defend our western values and fight wars against other nations if need be! |
