No disrespect to Michael Burry because he certainly stuck to his guns and figured out a way to leverage his bet many times over thanks to GOldlman Sachs and AIG. But he also did it mostly with other peoples money eventually taking a big chunk of the profits as the hedge fund manager. Not every one would have the absolute confidence to bet the farm like that even if was mostly other peoples money he would be losing if he were wrong and who by the way sued him for for not pursuing the investment strategy he solicited the funds for.
