I live 20 miles from the border I could walk over. When I was 16 I took the train from my town to Bellingham Washington, all I needed was an ID. I think it cost me about 12 bucks. I went down to buy shoes I could not get in our local stores. In my town guys had to wear the right clothes to get the girls, we followed the California beach styles. The Beach boys were very popular then.
