Re:NTKI

Below are a couple of sniperts taken from a bigger article regarding on-line music sites. It indicates that the music sites will be paying huge sums to search engines to get exclusive "real estate" on their sites. YHOO, XCIT, etc will be getting huge sums of $. Implication is that:
1. On-line music companies will be in HOT competition. This IMO will be negative to NTKI
2. The revenue beat goes on for inflated search engine companies keeping the stock prices up.

>>In fact, N2K is already thinking this way, and vice chairman Diamond claims his company has "locked up 85 percent of the prime real estate on the Web" (search engines, directory pages, and the like). <<

In addition, increased competition from the "gorilla" (MSFT) for on-line music companies. NTKI and CD Now beware. From same article.

>>Microsoft has been developing a music sales site which he believes is likely to hit the Web this year. "The marketplace is going to see a brand battle, and where the traffic is flowing, the price will go up to the advertisers," he added. <<

NTKI looks like a good short.
