Of course no one wants to license it - it doesn't work!
There's been a lot of interest in licensing Google's Waymo technology - it's been demonstrated to work!
waymo.com
Waymo is clearly re-thinking its position at this point, and they understand Lidars is a loser for them, for multiple reasons. We may be seeing the early days of WayMo's decision to caved to LiDar only.

There is simply no evidence that LiDar produces any improvement in results, even at significantly higher cost of systems + ongling operations.

Maybe no one wants to license FSD, but if so it is a tactic to force WayMo's costs down.
WayMo's task now is to be able to cave like a one-egg pudding while explaining how as the "industry leader" they got it so damned wrong.
