Good points. We have a honda Hybrid CRV and really like it.

I guess I would be comfortable buying an EV if I could get 400 miles on a charge and there were plentiful charging stations available.

We have solar panels and a Powerwall battery so I would definitely set up home charging. With home charging I could almost never need to charge up at a station if I had 400 miles of range or even 300 miles when traveling locally.

If I am going to pay $65K - $110K for an EV, I would want to have the capacity to conveniently take longer trips.

Perhaps you are correct, maybe the technology and infrastructure is already in place to make it practical.

Then again the technology seems to be advancing for EVs at a rapid pace. Maybe if I purchased in a year, I things would be better than they are today.
