I totalled my TR3 in a head on collision, a couple of junk cars later I bought a 1957 Anglia in really good shape. I took it hunting in the boonies, cracked the oil pan and used seal all to fix the leak, had to re apply every two weeks. This one time a buddy and I were way up a mountain road above Harrison lake, as I came around a corner, there was a 200+ ft drop on my side, my brakes failed and there was a switch back coming up, My friend was going to bail out I told him to hold on I was going to smash the car into the side of the mountain to slow us down. I cranked the wheel hard right and the Anglia went up on two wheel and did a 180, we ended up facing up hill, cotter pin had come off a wheel cylinder. After we put the cotter pin back I used white gas for brake fluid. Driving to work in the morning many times I had to push start the car, I lived on a bit of a hill so it wasn't too bad. This one morning I pushed the car it wouldn't start so I end up a mile away in a flat section. I call a buddy at a pay phone. while I was waiting I popped the hood, I see a wire off the coil, that was it, I went crazy on this POS car that tried to kill me, I kicked every part of this car and when my buddy showed up I was jumping on the roof. I sold this car to another friend for 10 bucks, he was going to use it in a small car demolition derby. This was the last English car I ever owned.
