Ukraine is a de facto NATO state, already enjoying Article 5-style obligations. The idea that the "real" Article 5 would be different is false. Go read it. By not joining NATO but keeping these "guarantees", Ukraine just avoids paying its dues.

Ukraine not joining NATO officially (but enjoying its protection) also means it can live on as a lawless terrorist-state with zero accountability They can keep drafting men off the street, carry out terrorist attacks, maintain torture camps, run black ops, etc

Ukraine is important to NATO precisely in this role: an unscrupulous terror machine, armed by Raytheon & Lockheed Martin & BAE systems.

No one will shed tears when it's gone, and no one wants it in the "civilized world" either. It's a disposable condom -- you only care about it while it's on your dick.
