Why can't these guys make money even in competition when they sell the majority of their drives to DELL, CPQ and other top-line makers? To me if DELL and CPQ make money on their computers seems like WDC should . I have heard they make a quality product. Also heard Maxtor and Quantums are o.k but shake, rattle and roll(noisy). So it would seem computer makers would pay more for quiet, speed,quality. At retail end, I have seen Maxtors a lot cheaper but what percent of total business is that?
