I would agree with that assessment although I would counter that GIS has never cut their dividend (as far as I can tell) therefor I would feel comfortable if my main concern was the payment of the dividend.

With that said I recently sold most of my GIS position (Still hold a small amount in taxable account) because of the growth concerns. Also have come to the conclusion that in the consumer staple arena, moving forward I do not wish to hold processed consumables (PEP excluded) that GIS produces. As such I am building my exposure to this sector with companies like PG, PM, MO, KO, PEP.

Sold KMB at the end of calendar year 2022 and haven't looked back.
