Reiner clearly suffered from Stage 4 TDS.

OTOH, I'm very sorry his family being wrecked. So many families suffer, and while Fentanyl gets all the publicity, millions of families have been destroyed by meth as well.

I had a client in Arkansas who I dealt with frequently whose office network I maintained for some years. She went missing for a few days and when I saw her again, she explained she had been gone to her son's funeral. I told her, "I didn't know you had a son." She replied, shrugging her shoulders, "I haven't had one for years. He was in (name of town) and he's been strung out on meth for long as I remember." I was struck by how unaffected she seemed. Her sadness was over the fact that he had been gone for years.

It is a horrible drug and in my view the only difference between meth and Fentanyl is the speed with which it takes the life of the user. With meth, families have to watch it in slow-motion for years. With Fentanyl, one day they're your daughter or son, the next day they're dead.

Clearly, that family had done everything conceivable and it was hopeless. They waited on the son to die for years, decades I guess. They had no idea they would be the ones who died.

I'm glad the president is taking action against it.
