Fidelity Investments---Closed End Funds

Has anyone noticed that Closed End Funds are shown under Common Stocks on the monthly statements.
I spoke with my Fidelity Rep., he looked into it and spoke with his supervisors since he was equally confused. He explained that CEF trade more like stocks, can't be classified as an ETF or mutual fund, so common stock would be the closest.
