Yes, he was a substantial mid-tier actor & filmmaker. I'm in no way knocking his accomplishments in that realm.

But his hatred toward Trump was palpable, and his political views were not one bit more important than yours or mine. I have no idea what work you do, and it doesn't influence my view of political understanding whatsoever. It simply wouldn't matter. I can tune into MSNBC or CNN any moment and find so-called "political analysts" who are total idiots with regard to serious political thought. Every Sunday both ends of the spectrum send out abject fools to get their political opinions.

One thing politics doesn't require is a lick of sense. Anyone can have an opinion and its value doesn't relate to whether a person's a fry cook or a filmmaker.

I'm sorry he was murdered, particularly by his son who was clearly troubled. Rhiner had no basis for "hating" Donald Trump, just as you don't, and the others here don't. You don't even know the man.

I can tell you that a man who sends his addicted son to rehab 18 times is doing every fucking thing he could do to save that guy's life, and there was absolutely nothing the mom & dad could have done to save his life at that point. The son was likely injured emotionally at some point in his life and they may never have any idea how or why. And that is a fucking tragedy for everyone.
