He’s not in jail. Nor likely to be. He was free to speak his mind without fear of being jailed or charged with crimes.
A top down system like, historically, China’s, leads to insane leaders and dictators, massacres, famines, death of millions, Cultural Revolutions, Great Leap Forwards, Rejuvenations, Nazism, the Soviets, all of which inevitably end badly.
And China, thanks to its non-existent political freedoms, is on the wrong path again, being guided by a Great Helmsman who has gathered as much top down power as the still-worshipped original lunatic ever had.
Political freedoms in the main preclude these horrible results by preventing top down chaos.
If you admire the CCP, all I can say is good luck. I should have thought that one Cultural Revolution would’ve been enough to open anyone’s eyes. |
