Fujitsu Announces Single-Chip MPEG2 Decoder LSI TOKYO, JAPAN, 1998 FEB 25 (NB) -- By Martyn Williams, Newsbytes. Fujitsu, Ltd. [TOKYO:6702] and Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. have announced the joint development of a single chip MPEG2 decoder LSI (large scale integrated circuit) for DVD players. Design specifications for the chip were developed with Pioneer Electronic Corporation [TOKYO:6773], a major manufacturer of DVD players.
