NKE OT. Let's talk about something simple, simple NKE could do, but doesn't.

Consider somebody young wanting to buy a "smart looking" Nike shoe. But has money for only one good pair (one kind of expensive-for-the-person pair) for the season. What simple thing could Nike do to upsell and entice that person?

Easy: Match the Nike sock display area to the shoes' colors. Not just the white or black or grey with Nike logo. I recently bought a pink/orange shoe. (Looks better than it reads -g-) I would've loved to have bought 4 pairs of different colored socks that go well with that. Which would give me or that hypothetical young person four different "outfits" to wear. So $175 (if I remember) + 4 x maybe $18?. Worth it.

Nike missing the boat here.
