I think that is his belief, same as he believes he is going to create an outpost on Mars; however, until it is done, we won't know. That would be great, and I can say that I think there is a reasonable chance it is true. But I'm less optimistic (if that view can be called optimistic) than he is.

It is apparent that massive job losses are likely in the near future. If I were young and considering attending university today, I would have a very difficult time in know what field to study. I don't really know of any that aren't on the chopping block.

There are not that many exempt jobs. While hospital employment might the last to go, ultimately, most of it will be subsumed as well.

The point being that either Musk's view will come truth to some extent, or the entire planet will descent into two classes -- the abjectly poor and the few filthy rich. And the filthy rich can all fit in Monte Carlo.
