I have owned Raytheon since long before its merger with UTC acquiring my shares between 2013 and 2015.
According to Fidelity the bulk of my shares were bought with a basis slightly over $25. Owning a pretty large position, its a cornerstone holding of my portfolio. Since I like owning stocks that I can buy and hold basically forever I can live with variations in valuation. I hope to eventually pass RTX down to my kids with a stepped up basis.

GD has been an even better performer for me up 2,131.% since I acquired its now subsidiary Gulfstream Aerospace in 1997.

Wouldn't consider selling my defense stocks. It's too hard finding long term buy and hold performers like these.
