A decent human being in Russia or Ukraine would have nothing to do with politics.
You couldn't be more wrong if you tried. And I've seen you try many times.

There's a reason why PooTin can kill or maim 1.2M of his own Russian citizens in a war of choice. It's because 50% of the population is depoliticized. To them, every single Russian who died in Ukraine asked for it. They have no interest or capacity to have a say in their own country's future. All they can do is focus on survival.

Meanwhile, in Ukraine, "politics" continues to arrive in the form of Shahed drones striking their thermal power plants, their rail stations, and their maternity wards on a nightly basis. To say that "decent human beings" in Ukraine should have nothing to do with "politics" shows an incredibly insensitivity on your part.

Now it's one thing to claim, like Miraje does, that we Americans should not give a Brandon about what happens to Ukraine.

But it's yet another thing to advocate for the depoliticization of a nation's population, because that's EXACTLY how fascism triumphs.
