I did and still do hate hybrids.
Why? I own one. It's a plug-in variety where I can get 26 miles in EV mode before it switches to hybrid.

It has reduced my gas consumption by 70%, which is a great thing to brag about, if I were an environmentalist. Of course, I harbor no fantasies about how much money I'm saving or how much I'm stopping the climate from changing.

All I have is a good, reliable car whose gas tank I fill up maybe once every 2-3 months. No range anxiety, no Level 2 charger that needs to be installed at home, no ridiculous maintenance costs that Teslas are usually associated with.

For a commuter car, I couldn't ask for anything more.
