To be clear, you do you. IF that is what you want, go for it.

I "hate" them ONLY in the sense they are suboptimal, and that I think society should seek out the best solutions to any problem. While I believe the hybrid was a mediocre/interim solution to a problem at the time, I don't see why they're needed at this point: Refueling is not a problem, certainly not in Cali.

I don't think there is such thing as "range anxiety" anymore, however. Surely not in any significant city, and even remote Arkansas and Mississippi have north/south coverage that is plenty adequate. In the area where I live, where Tesla is very popular, most everyone has a home charger, AFAIK.
