FYI, here's an 11-month old accounting of all US federal gold holdings at various locations, including within the Federal Reserve System. Treasury report details U.S. gold reserve supply in government vaults coinworld.com Marked to market, that isn't much as compared to the national debt (measured in fiat money). Still, it is by far the largest official horde on earth, as much as the next three largest holdings combined - Germany, Italy, and France. Russian, China, and Switzerland follow on that list.
