From HC Richardson last night: The law required that the Department of Justice must justify all redactions with “a written justification published in the Federal Register and submitted to Congress.” Otherwise, it said, records could not be “withheld, delayed, or redacted on the basis of.... heathercoxrichardson.substack.com congress.gov Half a century ago, when law still ruled, the country got all riled up about an 18 minute gap in the data. Will Congress get up on its hind legs this time?
