He uses the "since x is impossible" as justification a number of times, I wonder how he knows that. Probably should read "since I can't imagine it." Infinity apparently exists although I have a hard time wrapping my head around that in any meaningful way, for instance. Since I don't understand infinity, infinity must not exist is not a strong arguement.
The last 'proof' regarding purpose is muddy, who says and how come.
Then there's the problem of free will (and perfection), if everything has a cause and it all goes back to a first cause, free will is out the window. So is imperfection. If God exists as Thomas envisions, it's God all the way down and everything is perfect, always.
Which is as likely the case as anything else. |
