Let me put it this way. Until the SMO, Russia's military was considered at least the second best in the world. Definitely a serious rival to the US.

Now it is clear they are the second best fighting in Ukraine. The things you have listed as giving Russia an edge, up to 20X, has resulted in what can only be described as debacle that makes the US involvement in Afghanistan seem a stunning victory.

Just because things look one way on paper, doesn't mean they will perform that way in the real world.
