Inode, I think it lived up to what the hype was about: Odd shape, drive-by-wire, the new 48v system, materials. What's so great about any of that? Odd shape? Fine, it draws eyeballs. That has some value. Drive-by-wire? BFD. What benefits does that confer? It's not an F-16. The new 48V system? So what? Doesn't mean anything to the average consumer. Does it make the truck perform better? Be more efficient with the battery? Materials? I really don't trust a truck whose panels start peeling off because the glue couldn't hold it for longer than a year. Nor do I trust a truck whose aluminum frame is likely to deform over time and turn the vehicle into a $100K block of scrap. The bottom line is that the Cybertruck is failing to win over people who buy pickup trucks and use them for actual pickup truck duties, such as hauling, carrying cargo, or going off-road. It's like a Hummer. Most Hummers sold to consumers didn't actually do Hummer things. They were merely bought by the same people who thought spinning rims were a thing. Tenchusatsu
