That was a well-thought out piece. While I think is a more complicated scene than he suggested, his comments were a product of very well-thought-out facts and relationships.

His characterization of the over-reaction by legacy auto (brought on by pressure from the previous administration) was spot-on in many respects. However, it doesn't change the fundamental direction this is apt to follow: in the end, gasoline is dying as the apparent superiority of plug-in-electrics continues to be the basis for continued evolution of personal transportation.

It seems Ford & GM are the huge losers here.
