Northern California flash floods leave one dead as streets turn into rivers At least one person is dead following heavy rains and flash floods that drenched Northern California. The intense weather led to water rescues from vehicles and homes, as well as the death of a motorist in Redding, a city at the northern end of the Central Valley.
