This one has to be still be in the costly setting-up stage. 30 Million active trackers for 20 customers posting billions of transactions daily. It was set up as a vertical solution but now going horizontal.

Arduino is to rejiged it towards DIY trackers (ecosystem-led approach) and it's also now set up to interface with RAIN RFID labels. Those labels generate the plethora of transactions. It's good that someone (likely a party other than Qualcomm) is collecting an extra charge for each label.

Maybe they're on the right track. They're certainly not standing still with it all.

I suspect we're paying by the transaction and the customers are paying by the tracker plus a subscription. If someone wanted to research AWS transaction costs, that someone could come up with a figure for the current and future state of this new business.

Sounds a bit like Omnitracs on steroids for pallets.

ps If one wants to know if AI is generating "best" answers" one needs to ask Gemini about stuff of which one knows the answer. If AI streams ever became hackable one could really do some serious market damage.
