The fun continues. Yesterday, on what would have one of the biggest days of the year for the ferries connecting the mainland to the islands, a windstorm with gusts up to 100 kph pretty well shut down the fleet. The ferries are back operating today, but thanks to the backlog from yesterday waits for boarding are as long as six hours.

And with Highway 3 to the interior still closed, it was not good news when a big dump of snow caused so many accidents that the main route into the interior, the Coquihalla, that it was also closed at 10 pm last night. There is still no word as to when it might re-open.

So much for holiday travel plans...
