"The most worrisome aspect of the energy-based annihilation model is that the deeper the blue emission, the more likely it is for the molecules to be destroyed. In this context, displays require very deep blue phosphors (CIEy = 0.046 is required to meet Rec. 2020 standards), and hence is the hardest application to satisfy. Yet only a blue-green emitter is required for lighting, which apparently is now ready for deployment for interior illumination."
