The first product lighting marks the project into the key stage of mass production sprint, BOE (BOE) will be "to build the world's most competitive 8.6 generation OLED production line" as the goal, continue to temper professional skills, solve technical problems, establish competitive barriers, for the 2026 project successful mass production to lay a solid foundation.
BOE (BOE) invested in China's first article 8.6 generation AMOLED production line with a total investment of 63 billion yuan, is the largest single industrial project in Sichuan Province, with a design capacity of 32,000 pieces of glass substrates per month (size 2290mm × 2620mm), focusing on the industry's cutting-edge technology and the high-end product needs of international top customers, and mainly producing high-end touch OLED displays such as notebook computers and tablets. The production line uses FMM product process compatible with flexible OLED and Hybrid OLED, which has obvious advantages in yield, production efficiency, finished product quality and luminous efficiency compared with other technical routes. Through the use of low temperature polysilicon oxide (LTPO) backplane technology and Tandem laminated light-emitting device preparation process, the production line OLED screen achieves lower power consumption and longer service life, driving downstream notebook and tablet products iterative upgrade. BOE (BOE) 8.6 generation AMOLED production line since 2024 started to make breakthroughs, in May 2025, the first batch of equipment moved in advance 4 months in advance, refreshing the global high-generation production line construction record; after a lapse of 7 months, the first product was lit up 5 months in advance, and another stage victory was achieved, taking a key step for the mass production operation in 2026.
At present, BOE (BOE) has invested in Chengdu, Chongqing, Mianyang three six-generation flexible AMOLED production line, the cumulative OLED display shipments of more than 500 million pieces. With the lighting and mass production of the 8.6-generation AMOLED production line in BOE (BOE) China's first Article 8.6 generation AMOLED production line, four AMOLED production lines will be operated in the future, continuing to consolidate the leading edge of BOE (BOE) OLED production capacity and production process.
