I am not going to argue the point anymore other than to show this answer from AI as I actually forget the details: This for masks but assume similar for filters. Just not possible for the Gov to equip to do all the extensive testing for Zentek but also other companies IMO. Some of this testing is extremely specialized and only a few Companies are equipped to do the testing.

AI Overview

The testing for
ZenGUARD masks was conducted by independent, third-party laboratories, with the results reviewed and the product ultimately authorized by Health Canada.

Testing Laboratories
The testing for the ZenGUARD coating and masks was performed by several independent and certified organizations:
  • GAP EnviroMicrobial Services Ltd. conducted the initial bacterial filtration efficiency (BFE) and viral filtration efficiency (VFE) tests. This facility is an ISO/IEC 17025:2005 compliant and CALA (Canadian Association for Laboratory Accreditation) certified testing facility.
  • University of Western Ontario's ImPaKT Facility (Biosafety Level 3 lab) performed efficacy testing against the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
  • Nucro-Technics performed safety testing for skin irritation and sensitivity.
  • SGS Standard Technical Services Co. conducted additional antibacterial and antiviral testing following AATCC 100-2019 and ISO 18184:2019 standards.
  • The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) performed testing on the ZenGUARD coating's application to HVAC filters.

Regulatory Approval
The data from these tests, covering shedding, inhalation safety, skin irritation, pathogen deactivation, and filtration efficiency, were submitted to Health Canada.
Health Canada is the government body that conducted the extensive review process and ultimately authorized the ZenGUARD-enhanced surgical masks (manufactured by Trebor Rx Corp. or other partners) for sale and use in Canada, confirming they met the ASTM Level 3 standards.
