| | | For the past 6-12 months I’ve posted infrequently, mostly due to disappointment in Zentek’s progress (or lack there of). A year ago we were led to believe (after a very patient and painfully long wait) signed contracts were ‘imminent’, revenue growth was imminent and overcoming regulatory hurdles was imminent. It’s very clear the leadership transition within Zentek, as well as the removal of Board members, illuminated that expected progress had always been stalled at the research and development stage. I wish Moe all the best but the personnel transformation over the last 6 months has at the very least exposed internal faults and resulted in steps backwards before strides forward can be achieved.
Having said that I’m still a staunch believer and have accumulated significantly over the past 3-4 months. And I put in an order first thing this morning to fully utilize two TFSA contributions at .93. At this point I don’t expect it to get filled but we’ll see in the days ahead. I caution those who’ve invested too much of their pension dreams into Zentek - consider the possibility of loss at least as much as the glory of gains. Yes, a genuine breakthrough is very possible, but in my eyes it depends on execution and market adoption — not just our technology (and hopefully this is what we get Moe of with our new CEO). Strategic partnerships and monetizing one, two or more of our multiple products is essential in 2026. As others have mentioned regulatory approval could jump start our ascendancy but is also largely in the hands of external forces out of our control. But over the next 2-3 years we’re too small to continue down the road of unprofitability and shareholder revenue raises.
Granted, in the past I’ve been far more sure of success. Presently I understand that losing is a real possibility and often great hitters don’t get on base. But from my perspective the risk-reward factor with Zentek is still very attractive. Success in merely one area of our multi-pronged business pursuits may not just result in a hit for Zentek but could deliver a walk off grand slam. So for the time being I’ll withhold praise, post infrequently and watch very carefully.
Good luck to all in 2026! |
