A_G here's a monthly chart of Nickel from the year 1993. Note the Demand Drivers and the one for Military. Breeze

Key Demand Drivers
  • Stainless Steel (Primary Use): Continues to be the dominant consumer, accounting for 60% to 80% of total demand. However, this sector is highly cyclical and currently weighed down by a weak Chinese property market.
  • Electric Vehicle (EV) Batteries: The fastest-growing sector, expected to increase its share of total demand from ~16% in 2024 to as high as 42%–58% by 2040.
  • Aerospace and Military: These "high-end" sectors are providing robust demand for nickel-based superalloys and high-purity nickel, serving as more certain growth drivers than the volatile EV market.
