Dow notches new all-time high as Chevron's pop propels the index

The blue-chip Dow Jones Industrial Average ( DJI) jumped up to a fresh all-time high on Monday, climbing to 49,119.68.
This milestone eclipsed the index’s prior record of 48,886.86, set just a few weeks ago on December 12, highlighting the market’s continued momentum.
Monday’s gains put the Dow in the lead among major U.S. equity benchmarks, with the index advancing 1.5% on the session. Among individual components, several key names contributed notably to the rally including shares of Chevron ( CVX) which have gained more than 5%.
