Back in the day, Scott E used to run the confidence pool here on SI. I'm pretty sure I used to mail him a check (and won once). I always thought it was quite fun, and, relevant to you, super easy to do!

Obviously the easy strategy is just look at the spreads and rank accordingly. But like with the March Madness pool, it's all about predicting the upsets-- outright, not against the spread.
