I see that Wayne Whaley removed the post I linked above. All that’s left was the quote that I pasted. The post, essentially, was that the market is very richly priced - which, historically, leads to underperformance. Therefore, if you need your savings to live comfortably in your retirement - play it safe. Have some safe allocations, like to bonds. 50% bear markets are brutal - when they happen. And, they do.
