Qone0,
No, it was murder, the point blank head shot through the side window makes it murder.
I forget what the legal phrase is, but there is a short period of time right after the threat to one's life where continued use of deadly force is justified.

In other words, if some perp tries to shoot an officer, then turns his back to run away, the officer is allowed to continue returning fire even if the perp ends up getting struck in the back. The "Defund the Police" crowd will claim, "No no no, you can't do that, the poor guy was fleeing and no longer posed a deadly threat to the officer," but no officer is expected to instantly recognize that situation. Plus the perp still represents a threat to the community at large.

That's why I think the ICE-involved shooting is a legal gray zone. Certainly the agent involved was in reasonable fear of his life when he was in front of the vehicle, only to react when the vehicle suddenly lunged forward. And although the driver was clearly turning away from the agent, he couldn't have known that in the heat of the moment.

However, the use of deadly force really didn't accomplish anything here, other than to demonstrate to the entire country that his "authoritah" should be respected ... or else. He was already out of the way when she was lethally struck, so the decision to open fire or not have no impact on his survivability.

Nor was she a "dangerous domestic terrorist." Most likely case is that she also feared for her own life, especially knowing how cruel and extrajudicial ICE is. Is that an excuse for what she did? Not really, but it also strengthens any case that is brought against ICE. Juries aren't going to be happy with law enforcement officials abusing their power, even if they are legally covered under the law.

No matter what, this is one complete shit show. And I hold Trump, the Bald Goebbels, and ICE Barbie completely responsible for it. This was needless despite MAGA cultists like Thronefish pretending like this was "inevitable."
