Two people shot by Border Patrol agents during Portland traffic stop Story by Joseph Pisani, WSJ, January 8, 2026 The DHS said the driver and passenger are affiliated with a Venezuelan gang that was involved in a recent shooting in the city. Police didn’t identify them but said they initially fled the scene and were transported to an area hospital where they are receiving treatment. Two people shot by Border Patrol agents during Portland traffic stop So, are they actually members of a gang or are they relatives of members of the gang, or do they have some other kind of affiliation, such as friendship, neighbors, co-workers, etc.?
