There's no US refinery which mixes US shale oil with heavy oil from Canada or Vnezuela.

You're well outside of your field of knowledge.

US shale oil sells for far too much on the global markets to interest US refiners.

Complex and capital heavy US refineries process the least costly crude oils available. China is the only other place where you find a bunch of equally complex refineries - because they were too late to the party to access light sweet crude.

When I worked at Chevron, Venezuelan crude sold for 75% less than light sweet crude because hardly any facility had a use for it other than Chevron's Pascagoula refinery.

The processes for the Pascagoula refinery were invented and designed exclusively for Chevron's Venezuelan crude oil. Today, that single advanced refinery has a lot of competition for buying shit crude oil.
